Caffex
A lightweight Windows tray app that keeps your PC awake when uninterrupted activity is temporarily required, and reminds you to take healthy screen breaks.
Caffex is planned as a lightweight Windows desktop utility for keeping your computer awake during focused work, presentations, long-running tasks, or remote sessions. It runs quietly from the system tray and uses Windows power-management APIs to prevent unwanted sleep or display timeout without moving the mouse or disrupting normal work.
For apps like Microsoft Teams and Slack, Caffex can optionally use a guarded “presence pulse” mode that sends a minimal synthetic input at configurable intervals. This feature is designed to be best-effort, non-invasive, and easy to disable, since workplace policies and individual apps may still control presence behavior.
Caffex also includes configurable break reminders, helping users step away from the screen at healthy intervals without forcing intrusive popups or stealing focus. The goal is simple: stay available when you choose, keep the machine awake when needed, and gently support better work habits.
