DeepWifi

A Windows desktop app for managing saved Wi-Fi profiles, revealing accessible passwords, and safely importing, exporting, or removing networks.

Project overview

About this project

DeepWiFi Manager brings saved Wi-Fi profiles into one Windows desktop interface. It helps users inspect network settings, view passwords when Windows permissions allow, and manage profiles stored on their computer. It works with saved networks rather than scanning for nearby access points.

The application uses the Windows Native Wi-Fi API to retrieve profile information and delete profiles, while importing profiles through Windows’ network configuration tools. Its WPF interface displays network names, authentication types, connection modes, and password availability. Asynchronous operations keep the interface responsive, and English and Bulgarian language options make it accessible to more users.

Main capabilities

  • View saved Wi-Fi profiles across multiple adapters.
  • Reveal or hide passwords permitted by Windows security.
  • Export individual profiles as XML or the network list as text.
  • Explicitly choose whether exports include passwords.
  • Import profiles and delete multiple saved networks with confirmation.
  • See clear permission errors and retain profiles when deletion fails.
